The Be.e is an electric bio-scooter built from Natural Fibre-Reinforced Composites. Yes, that’s a mouthful, so from now on we will call these materials NFC’s. This material is a modern evolution of what are commonly known as glass-fibre composites, but instead of using glass-fibres as strengthening material natural fibres such as Flax, Hemp, or even synthesized cellulose fibres were used.

In the application of the Be.e NFC’s were used in a monocoque construction. This means that the exterior of the scooter is a hull shape which is so strong that it also functions as the frame of the scooter. This has many advantages for the assembly procedure but, more importantly for the end user, the exterior panels are so tough and strong that they will need a lot of manhandling before they could be damaged. In fact Van.Eko is so confident in these materials that they offer a 4 year warrantee on the NFC monocoque.

The Be.e is an electric scooter, suitable for city commuting and fun trips into the country side. The batteries will allow you to have 2 hours of intense driving range (or 60km range) under the worst of conditions. Be.e is manufactured, developed and tested in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, known for it’s cold and wet weather: the perfect proving grounds for the Be.e.

With state of the art propulsion systems and well proven drive train components, Van.Eko will offer a second to none warranty level of 5 years on all parts. They use state of the art battery technology. This system has a track record that doesn’t lie, and they are willing to back that up. Van.Eko is willing to back the claim that LEV’s (Light Electric Vehicles) are supposed to be low in maintenance and high in reliability. Therefore the warranty will last up to 50.000 km’s.

Clearly if you opt in on the KM-plan, you will never have to worry about warranty’s or so. As long as your subscription is active Van.Eko’s responsibility is to keep you using up your KM-plan. So if you do have a serieous issue with your Be.e, they will supply you with a spare until they resolve the problems.

Fitted with a 600W charger you will be able to charge your scooter at a rate of 20km/h, meaning that for every hour of time spent charging you will have a range of 20km’s at your disposal.

Of course it can happen that you might have a flat tire. That’s why we add one can of tire repair spray to keep you going in case of need. If you happen to have a more serious break down, the on demand service provided by the Dutch ANWB should be able to help you on your way, wherever you get stranded. Yes, when used in the KM-plan you will automatically receive a subscription to the ANWB Scooter Service.
