Insteon recently announced it is now shipping its new HomeKit-enabled InsteonHub, bringing Insteon products like switches, outlets, thermostats and lightbulbs into the HomeKit ecosystem. The HomeKit-enabled Insteon Hub is available exclusively through Amazon and Smarthome.com and will be available in retail stores in early July.
Also available is the new and completely redesigned Insteon+ app for iOS 8.1 or later, which will work with other HomeKit-enabled products from various manufacturers, including HomeKit-enabled lights, door locks, color-changing bulbs, garage door openers, thermostats and other HomeKit-enabled products. It will also work with all Insteon products, when paired with the Insteon Hub. Ultimately, this Insteon+ app provides one simple, singular method for consumers to control connected devices.
