A lot has been going on at CES 2014, but one booth that has received a lot of attention this year has been Parrot. Among some of the new things Parrot has been showcasing this year are two connected toys, the Parrot MiniDrone and the Parrot Jumping Sumo.

The Parrot MiniDrone is connected to a Smartphone or a tablet with Bluetooth Smart (Low Energy), and offers flight stability worthy of professional drones. It's ultra-compact and light-weight design features all the technology once fitted for the AR.Drone 2.0 now in a smaller more condensed form factor.

The Parrot MiniDrone comes in two different configurations. Already capable of being flown at high speeds and performing high-precision acrobatics, the MiniDrone is able to attach two ultra-light wheels to its structure and can climb along a wall or move across the ceiling before taking off again into mid-air.

Thanks to its numerous sensors and its autopilot capabilities, the Parrot MiniDrone is amongst one of the easiest-to-fly quadricopters on the market today and is planned for release later on this year. There is no official price yet but be sure the Parrot MiniDrone will be priced below its predecessor the AR.Drone 2.0.

• Amazing high speed flying
• Indoor wheels to roll on the floor or the ceiling
