PicoBrew is a Washington State Limited Liability Company formed in 2010 by brothers Bill and Jim Mitchell. The Mitchells, together with co-founder Avi Geiger have spent the past 3 years inventing and refining a whole new category of kitchen equipment: the beer brewing appliance. The goal has been to improve the precision, repeatability and overall quality of the beer-brewing experience and to simplify and automate it to the point that anyone can brew great craft beer in the comfort of their own kitchen at the touch of a button!
PicoBrewing is a quicker and more enjoyable way to brew! The basic steps are simply creating (or borrowing) a recipe, loading ingredients into a container called the "step filter", and selecting the recipe to brew using the rotary encoder on the front panel of your PicoBrew Zymatic.
One of the great things about the home brewing community is the wealth of recipes that are freely shared. Unfortunately, since each home-brewer's equipment is different, recipes frequently turn out differently for each brewer. The PicoBrew Recipe Crafter is web-side software we've created that allows you to easily craft recipes that turn out precisely on spec., both for you and for any other PicoBrewer! You can also import existing BeerXML-formatting recipes, and Recipe Crafter will scale them to the PicoBrew system for you. At last, great beer recipes can be brewed reliably and repeatably!
